Qualifications

All candidates must have the ability to ensure that all classes adhere to state regulations and company policies. Additionally, applicants must have excellent communication skills and support our continuity of care philosophy.

Lead teachers must be able to work full-time and the ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s or associate’s degree in early childhood education, or a Child Development Associate (CDA) certification plus two years of experience working in child care and with the age group that they’d be assigned to at Expressive Beginnings.

Other assistants and support staff must be able to work a flexible schedule during open hours and with different age groups.

Open Positions

Lead Teachers

We’re hiring full-time preschool and infant/toddler teachers to plan curriculum activities, provide continuity of care, coordinate appropriate staff to teacher ratios and assure that classes are in compliance with New York state regulations and company policies, especially related safety standards.

Teacher Assistants

We’re hiring warm and caring people who are passionate about working with young children and who possesses the ability to facilitate learning through play and child initiated interests. This person would work with children ages 3 through 5 years.

Floater

Recruiting floaters to work with children of varying ages in different classrooms throughout the day. Floaters are not required to have their CDAs, however, they must have at least two years of experience in child care and work approximately 30 hours per week.

Part-Time

We’re recruiting part-time teachers to work approximately 15 hours per week with children of varying ages in different classrooms. At least two years of experience in child care required.
